But my dog HATES being groomed!

Not to worry – Tony has almost twenty years of experience: if you can bring your pet through the door, he can groom it. If necessary, he can ask our veterinarian to give the pet a mild sedative (additional fees apply).

We also groom cats!

Although cats are generally good at caring for their coats, those with long fur can need some extra help since their tongues are generally only able to reach the top layer of fur. The fur further down will clump together forming mats, which attract dirt and can cause skin problems.

Grooming is medically necessary for certain pets, including cats (e.g. pets with long hair), as they can easily overheat or have skin problems. Additionally:

  • Nails that are too long can snag (e.g. on carpet) and may rip at your pet’s toes;
  • Dirty ears can result in ear infections, especially in dogs which have floppy ears;
  • Anal glands can get too full, become impacted or infected, and require surgery.
