Doctors
Dr. Rana Olsen has been passionate about animals throughout her life. As a child, she owned a multitude of pets including cats, dogs, hamsters, snakes, rats, rabbits, tortoises, turtles, and even a squirrel. Currently, she has four cats, three alpacas, and a tortoise. Dr. Olsen is interested in all aspects of feline and canine healthcare, and especially enjoys surgical procedures. She works Thursday – Saturdays.
Dr. Bahman Kiaei, our associate veterinarian, works Sundays – Wednedsay. Dr. Kiaei graduated in 2001, obtained his US veterinary license in 2008, and is licensed in California, Arizona and Washington states. He did rigorous, one year internship at a specialty veterinary center (Sonora Veterinary Specialists) in Phoenix, AZ where he had the opportunity to work alongside veterinary specialists. Dr. K adopted a mixed pointer dog in Phoenix. He also has a 16 year old mixed German shepherd.
Dr. Amanda DeBree, our other associate veterinarian, works on Fridays and Saturdays. Dr. DeBree grew up in Orange County. She attended veterinary school at UC Davis, where she graduated with honors. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and finds it very rewarding. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, spending time with family, and walking her dog Lancelot.
Receptionists
Christine has worked in the veterinary business for 6 years. She really enjoys being able to help animals, whether they are hurt, or in need of a new home, and has placed three dogs in loving homes, one of which was her own! She also rescued a cat, Thomas; adopted another from in front of Albertsons, Mishu; and took in a feral, Felipe! She also has a boxer mix named Stuie, a very smart dog! Christine attended CSULB and CSUF, where studied pre-vet and business management. In her spare time she likes to visit the gym, play tennis, and cuddle up with a good book!
Sue was born in the San Fernando Valley and raised in Yorba Linda, California. She has a dog, Dixie, and two cats, Fred and Angel. She lived in Europe for seven years, from 1990 to 1997. She has been working at Yolinda Animal Hospital since 2006 and is loving it. Sue likes to play golf and tennis, to bowl and spends her weekends with family and friends.
Veterinary Technicians
Thalia has been interested in the animal field since she was little. She graduated from Santa Ana college in 2009 and plans to register at vet school soon. She has been working in the veterinary business for more than 5 years and loves being a veterinary technician. She owns two dogs (Milo and Mimosa) and two cats (Jessy and Sammy), which she rescued some years ago.
Assistants
Arturo is Tony’s grooming assistant, and veterinary technician. He likes watching soccer on TV, and has a dog of his own.
Management
Yolinda Animal Hospital is managed by Richard, Dr. Olsen’s husband. Richard is a doctor too – he has a PhD in chemistry from Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, and is also a licensed patent agent. Like his wife, Richard loves animals. He is particularly interested in photographing them.
